What to Expect
Search and Rescue is often hours of tedious work in difficult weather and challenging terrain. We look for volunteers who are disciplined, ready to learn, and willing to respond at any time, day or night.
Requirements
Becoming a member requires a commitment to both the community and your own safety. All members must complete:
Standard First Aid and CPR certification.
Specific state-mandated online training courses.
Field training exercises to ensure technical proficiency.
Training
We provide the necessary training to bring new members up to state qualifications at no cost. Whether you come with decades of backcountry experience or are looking to start from scratch, we value a humble attitude and a willingness to work as part of a team.
